Eco-responsibility is at the core of our DNA since we started our project in 2008
GESI CHARTER: Already 13 commitments out of 15 have been met after just 1 year
Eco-responsibility is at the core of our DNA since we started our project in 2008. In 2017, we signed the Charter of major international sporting events in France (GESI). As a signatory, we are committed to meet 15 objectives on a 3 years period. As of our first year, we have already met 13 of them. This achievement was made possible by our 10 years of experience in the organization of eco-responsible events.
--> 15 markers of our eco-responsibility commitment
Since 2017, we have been committed to meet the 15 objectives stated in the GESI Charter in order to provide a practical answer to the ambitious eco-responsibility projects initiated by the French Ministère de la Ville, de la Jeunesse et des Sports (Ministry of Urban Affairs, Youth and Sports) and WWF:
- 50% minimum of sustainable food => UNMET
- 80% minimum of transport in active mobility (public transports or carpool) => MET
- 80% of purchases including corporate social responsibility selection criterion => UNMET
- 25% of waste reduction and 60% of re-used, recycled or recovered waste => MET
- 100% of natural sites respected => MET
- 100% of energy and water consumption controlled and optimized => MET
- 1 eco-responsible innovation (at least) tested during an event => MET
- 1 or several ambassadors of eco-responsibility among the athletes of the event or the discipline => MET
- 100% of public sites accessible to people with disabilities => MET
- 100% of sporting events including an action to facilitate accessibility to all => MET

--> An eco-responsible policy organized around six pillars
Originally a true innovation, our EcoTrail event in Paris is now a model to many other sport organizations. In order to optimize our development, we defined 6 axes to help us better implement practical actions.
- Mobility
- Water, waste and energy
- Health and solidarity
- Cultural and natural heritage
- Prevention and awareness-raising
- Catering
To ensure the evolution and the success of our eco-responsible actions, we also rely on the expertise of our partners, such as the WWF.
